Condemnation / Eminent Domain
We provide thorough representation of individuals and businesses whose property has been condemned by condemning authorities including government agencies and utilities. We assist our clients with the resolution of their disputes, whether they stem from valuation issues, business loss issues, uniqueness issues or air rights.
We have many years of experience in handling these types of cases and have handled numerous successful appeals that clarified existing areas of law including, but not limited to DOT v. Ultima Trimble, 204 Ga. App. 309 (1992); DOT v. Ultima Trimble, 214 Ga. App. 607 (1994). In the past we have represented the Georgia Department of Transportation in developing air rights agreements for the Georgia 400 corridor and negotiated many of the air rights contracts with the businesses and entities along the corridor.
